There is a tradition in it Texas of people named Crockett making famous last stands. For Davey Crockett, it was at the Alamo, but the hill on which Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, apparently wants to die is preventing James Talarico, who defeated her in the primary, from winning his Senate race.
The famously brash Crockett told the Dallas Morning News this week that she had “no idea” when asked if she would support Talarico in November and said she was focused on the down-ballot elections.
Crockett also declined an invitation to speak on behalf of Talarico at the upcoming meeting Texas Democratic Party Convention. In fact, she just skips the whole thing.

On the one hand, this refusal to play along could just be the anger of a scorned woman, but even if that’s the case, there are some reasons for Democrats to worry that Crockett might accept their support and go home.
Rising star Talarico beats progressive Brand Crockett in high-risk Texas Senate Democratic primary
The first reason Crockett’s refusal to support Talarico would hurt is that it takes away an important political weapon, namely the fact that he has been in office for a long time GOP Sen. John Cornynwho lost his party’s primary, also refuses to support the man who beat him, Ken Paxton.
Talarico would like to put on a smug smile and tell Texas voters, “Even John Cornyn, who is as Republican as they come, won’t support my extreme opponent,” or whatever. But when his own primary opponent, a sitting member of Congress, also snubs him, the whole thing evens out.
The deeper problem for the party that Crockett’s recalcitrance reveals is a growing concern among black Democrats that their power in the party is marginalized and weakened.
In our deep blue cities, the Democratic Socialists of America are actively replacing the old black power within the party with immigrant candidates. The voters most aggressively pushing this change are wealthy, well-educated white people, who are always the most progressive Surveys.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani held a rally in Gotham this week for his slate of crazy congressional candidates, none of whom are black, all of whom are socialists, and most of whom are opposed by the black Speaker of the House, Hakeem Jeffries, who lives in Brooklyn.
Jeffries is supposed to be the head of black political power in New York City, but it looks like he doesn’t have much of it anymore.
DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST MAYOR CANDATE is a growing headache for vulnerable New York Democrats
The far left rally took place on the same day as the opening of the congress Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, a funeral of the old party establishment on the shores of Lake Michigan, a baptism of the new socialist party in Brooklyn.
On Friday, on CNN, Corey Booker, a black senator, testified New JerseyA clip was shown in which Commie Mamdani called the Democrats a party of the past that needed to be replaced. His response: “I don’t want to talk about the Democratic Party.”
In other words: complete surrender.
DAVID MARCUS: Establishment Democrats are turning on Graham Platter, but it’s far too late
Now in a purple state Senate raceas in Maine and Crockett’s own Texas, Democrats this cycle have decided that “relatable” whites are the ticket to success.
Graham Platnerin the Pine Tree State, is a candidate scarred by scandal like he hasn’t been in a long time, and yet the Democrats think they’ve found a white guy who knows how to load a gun.

In Texas, Race was the underlying theme the Democratic Party primaries. In a viral clip from the contest, we saw a middle-aged white voter in tears telling a reporter that she loved Crockett but had to vote for Talarico because Texas is too racist to elect a black woman.
Texas DEMOCRAT screams for voting for Talarico over Crockett because ‘we need someone who can win’
It was actually amazing that this woman almost said, “I have to commit a racist act to fight racism.”
Nonsensical Congressional Democrats Those who continue to feed the communist tiger of the Hasan Piker wing of their party and hope to be the last to be eaten might want to consider Crockett’s example. She may have committed political hari kari, but at least she stands up for herself.
Even Crockett’s promise to focus her energy on down-ballot elections shows that she is not convinced that the national party or the Texas Democratic Party is truly listening to her supporters, but instead is taking them for granted.
republican should also pay attention to Crockett’s rebellion here and provide a path back home to the GOP for black voters who aren’t communists and don’t believe men should be in women’s sports or women’s shelters.

Davey Crockett did not survive the Battle of the Alamo, and Jasmine Crockett’s political career may not have survived her loss in the Senate primary and her escapades since. But in the end, Texas won, and we remember the Alamo because the defeat was not in vain.
Maybe Crockett is waiting for some concessions from the Democrats and Talaricos, but for now it doesn’t look like she’s going to give up and raise her hands to support her rival. This is very good news for Republicans.
