A country club in the city of Caraballeda, Venezuela, has been converted into a makeshift hospital where survivors of the country’s devastating earthquakes are receiving care and sleeping on mattresses on the grass.
Helicopters carrying relief supplies have landed at the makeshift hospital and those who lost their homes during the quake are being provided with food, water and clothing.
Caraballeda, in the state of La Guaira, is one of the areas most affected by the earthquakes.
BBC Mundo’s Norberto Paredes reports from the country club.
