Federal immigration agents have arrested a Mexican national accused of sexually abusing a minor South Carolina after the victim was found giving birth to his child in a hospital parking lot.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has ordered an arrest against Luis Armando Argueta Montejo, who is accused of having sexual intercourse with an underage female believed to be between 11 and 14 years old.
The Ministry of Homeland Security (DHS) said Montejo was arrested days after the minor was found giving birth to her child in the parking lot of Oconee Memorial Hospital in South Carolina.
According to DHS, evidence collected by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office indicated that Montejo had sexual intercourse with the victim.

The 43-year-old was charged with incest and a three-count indictment criminal sexual behavior a child, the DHS said.
“This madman should NEVER have been in our country preying on children,” Acting Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Lauren Bis said in a statement. “He now faces charges of incest and several child abuse crimes.”
Montejo told ICE that he first entered the U.S. in 2006 and had no prior registration Criminal recordaccording to officials.

ICE ordered an arrest on April 17 to ensure he was apprehended transferred to federal custody after completion of the local procedure.
“Prior to these horrific crimes, this illegal immigrant had no criminal record in the United States,” Bis said. “Under Secretary Mullin, ICE has filed a warrant with South Carolina to ensure this monster never runs loose in our communities again.”

Bis said the case highlights the need for coordination between federal and local authorities.
“Fortunately, South Carolina is cooperating with ICE law enforcement,” Bis added. “That’s why we need state and local partners to work together so that together we can keep criminals off our streets and make America safe again.”
