How to watch the Samsung Galaxy S25 Unpacked event
Looking for a new phone? Wait at least another week before pulling out your credit card. That’s up to Samsung first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22nd – and like previous years, you can watch from home.
Based on credible leaks and historical precedent, we can reasonably assume that the event will feature a new lineup Galaxy S25 phones (including Ultra, Plus and regular models) at least. It’s more or less guaranteed that the new phones will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipand offer some design improvements and new colors. And Samsung’s latest blog post effectively confirmed that its new One UI 7 – announced at a Samsung developer event in 2024 – will be part of Wednesday’s unveiling. So expect more details about how the operating system overhaul will actually affect the use of the company’s new devices.
Additionally, based on Samsung’s original announcement about the event, Galaxy AI will feature prominently, and it seems possible that the company could provide an update on the same Wearables and more information about Project Moohan, the headset it is developing for Google Android XR platform.
The event begins at 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT in person in San Jose and online everywhere else.
