Samsung showed the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series of telephones on ITS Unpacked event In San Jose and although most of the shop window was reserved for new AI functions, there are still many new hardware details that need to be emphasized. The following is what varies in the trio of new phones and how that Galaxy S25 Ultra Compare specifications with the standard Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.
All three phones have the same prices as last year Galaxy S24 familyBut they have seen all the changes: the standard 800 dollar S25 has all new AI tricks and levels. The $ 1,000 S25 plus builds with more memory and battery in a larger format and finally the premium (and most expensive). $ 1,300 S25 Ultra Has the absolutely best specifications in terms of cameras and screen.
Unknown for everyone present, the unpacked event had to reveal a last surprise: the Galaxy S25 edgeA slimmer fourth siblings in telephone generation. Unfortunately, Samsung did not reveal much about this device, and apart from the fact that we see it on the exhibition floor, we have no specifications that we can compare with its three known siblings. Chalking into a secret that we could have published in the first half of this year if rumors are said to be believed.
Here are all technical data on the three S25 telephones that we know a lot about.
Design and display
They would be difficult to see that the differences between the cell phones of the past year and this year’s overall look have not changed significantly. However, there are still visual differences between telephones. Both the smaller S25 and the larger S25 Plus both have a trio of telephone lenses on the back, while the S25 Ultra four. As has been the case for years, the Ultra model has a slot on the right side of its lower edge for an extractable S -Stift pen.
It is not surprising that the standard S25 is the lightest of the bundle and weighs 162 grams (5.71 ounces), while the S25 plus at 190 grams (6.7 ounces) and the S25 ultra at 218 grams (7.69 Ounces) is heavier. The S25 and S25 Plus have both standard aluminum frames, while the S25 Ultra has a titanium. All three phones are rated with IP68 for dust and water resistance.
Although everyone is amolated with 1-120 Hz update rates, the ads where the phones differ differ. The standard S25 has a 6.2-inch screen with a high HD resolution (2,340 x 1,080 pixels), while the larger S25 plus has a 6.7-inch screen with a sharp 1440p resolution (3,120 x 1,440 pixels) And the S25 Ultra has a somewhat Bigger 6.8. -Inch screen with the same resolution of 1440p with an anti-blend coating to minimize the reflections.
There is another uniform factor: For the first time in years, the S25 Ultra has a curved screen like its smaller siblings. Another remains of the Note series, the flat edges of the screen, has disappeared. The telephone screens all have a maximum brightness of 2,600 nit.
Cameras
All three Phones cameras have not changed much since last year’s S24 series. The Standard S25 and S25 Plus both have a trio of rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main shooter, a 12-megapixel-ultraWide camera and a 10-megapixel telele with 3x optical zoom.
The S25 Ultra increases these functions with a 200 megapixel main camera, a new 50-megapixel ultraWide shooter and dual telephoto cameras: a 10-megapixel-3x optical zoom and a 50 megapixel-5 optical zoom camera.
All three phones have a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies, and everyone can absorb up to 8k videos from their rear cameras.
Performance
The phones are roughly aligned with regard to the performance, probably because all AI characteristics require a high specifications of specific specifications. (We also heard that about Apple’s iPhones.) All three telephones pack 12 GB RAM, which could be a new baseline for these functions. Previously, the S24 had only 8 GB RAM.
All three pack an adapted version of the most advanced mobile chips from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Posted last October, which has integrated quick speeds and many AI functions. The S25 telephones are not the first to pack the chip and come in after getting in Xiaomi 15 At the end of last year and the OnePlus 13 Introduced at the beginning of this year – but the latest phones from Samsung are among the initial packs that Qualcomm’s most advanced silicon use for phones.
The phones escalation quantities on memory, whereby the S25 either 128 GB or 256 GB, the S25 plus pack either 256 GB or 512 GB and the S25 -Ultra with 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. As in previous years, none of the phones has a microSD slot or another path to physically expand the memory. You must therefore buy cloud storage options to save beyond your storage space.
The phones are all equipped with Android 15 from the box and Samsung’s One Ui 7 overlay. The telephones all have Samsung for samsung and Samsung’s Android and security updates.
AI functions
The New AI functions In the S25 series, the most defining feature is characterized by the S24 cell phones of the past year (it is unclear whether or how many of the functions on older Samsung cell phones). All three S25 telephones can access the same AI functions.
One of the most important new AI. Depending on the request, the KI models from Samsung or Google are used.
Another from Samsung-exclusive AI function is AI Select, which suggests actions or apps, depending on what you are looking at. Simply wipe from the screen to start the edge field (the sidebar with app linkage) and tap the background of your phone.
Samsung also has a new function called Conversational Search, which reacts to casual inquiries with context -related proposals. So if you say that “my eyes hurt, can you help with the screen?” . It will also help to make the photo search more intelligently, similar to Apple and Google with AI to improve their own photo albums.
The circle to search function, which debut in the S24 series of the past year, will also receive an upgrade: you can now recognize audio so that you can say goodbye to Shazam. The new telephones also have more personalized recommendations, according to Samsung, such as the recommendation of thermostat changes, if your phone notes that you sleep better at a certain temperature (provided that health data from a Samsung Galaxy Ring or Galaxy Watch go hand in hand).
battery
The battery capacity is another area in which the phones differ. However, it is important to clarify that more capacity does not always correlate with your phone and take longer. Brightness, GPS location tracking and other functions can still let your phone drain quickly. But all things are the same, larger batteries mean more battery life: the S25 has a 4,000 mAh battery, the S25 Plus has a battery of 4,900 mAh and the S25 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery.
Both the S25 and the S25 Plus have 25 watt loads, an installment that has been holding Samsung phones for years, since other leading Android flagships leave them in dust OnePlus 13For example, 100-watt shop (80 watts in the USA), which have completely refilled an empty battery in our tests in just over half an hour. The S25 Ultra is a little better, 45 watt load, but it feels particularly archaic on the most advanced phone in Samsung Stall.
All three telephones have 15-watt-wireless charging processes (just like you with the Qi2 standard) and wireless power shape to dispose of other devices with their own battery. While the phones like the latest iPhones from Apple do not have the magnetic magnetic connection in the telephones, you can approach them with magnetic connections with official cases of Samsung and third -party providers.
Diploma
Samsung’s three-phon Phone set-up is quite carved in stone these days. The S25 with the lowest price with the least impressive specifications, the larger S25-Plus users who want more battery, and the S25 Ultra, which offers the highest specification with S-pin functionality.
But thanks to the general upgrade on 12 GB RAM, these lines were a little blurred, which means that the storage and screen resolution has remained as the largest distinction feature between all telephones. The big leap between the S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra remains the more impressive cameras and stylus of the latter, although this becomes a steeper hike for the price of 300 US dollars.
