Bab Sebta: A young Swede on record with Interpol has been arrested
National security forces arrested a Swedish citizen at Bab Sebta train station on Thursday against whom there is an international arrest warrant from the Swedish judicial authorities, security services said.
The search of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) database revealed that the 19-year-old suspect is wanted for his alleged involvement in the possession of offensive weapons for international criminal purposes, they state.
The suspect has been taken into police custody until he is brought before the relevant public prosecutor’s office, says the same source, adding that the national central office “Interpol Rabat Office”, which is subordinate to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), is responsible for informing his counterpart in Sweden about this arrest as part of the extradition process.
