We’re wrapping up 2024, so why not make some frivolous CES announcements? Like this Premium (it must be Premium!) LG microwavewith a touchscreen larger than your iPad. I don’t know what you’ll see in the three and a half minutes it takes to heat the butter chicken curry, but you can see it in glorious full HD resolution.

The touchscreen integrates with LG’s ThinQ Smart Home Dashboard for when you feel like it’s the right time to change the channel on your TV or tinker with compatible Matter and Thread devices like smart lights and other things . It can also be paired with the company’s induction cooktop to show cooking progress if you’re having trouble craning your neck from the microwave to the kitchen burners. It’s no Washing machine in a washing machinebut you still have to love CES.
