Nottingham Forest moved into second place in the table with a 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park in one of four Premier League Sunday kick-off games at 3pm.
Goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White gave Forest victory as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side move two points clear of Arsenal and the Gunners don’t play until New Year’s Day.
This completes a hugely impressive second half of the year for Espirito Santo’s team, who travel to struggling Wolves on January 6th.

At the other end of the table, Tyler Dibling scored the first goal of the Ivan Juric era as Southampton took an early lead against Crystal Palace.
However, Trevoh Chalobah equalized after half an hour before Eberechi Eze completed the comeback in the 52nd minute.
The result keeps the Saints at the bottom of the league while Palace moves to within two points of 14th-placed Manchester United.
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs and Wolves played out a memorable 2-2 draw, with Jorgen Strand Larsen scoring an 87th-minute equalizer for the visitors.

Hwang Hee-Chan gave Wolves an early lead, but Rodrigo Bentancur and Brennan Johnson turned the tie around before half-time.
Ange Postecoglou’s recent frustration was made even worse when Strand Larsen equalized three minutes into the remaining 90 minutes.
A few miles further in town, at Craven Cottage, Fulham and Bournemouth also played a four-goal draw.
Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson scored for Marco Silva’s side after an impressive win at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
But the Cherries hit back every time they fell behind, with Evanilson and Dango Ouatarra earning a point for Andoni Iraola’s team.
