PK Kemsley blasts Dorit for calling him a ‘full-blown alcoholic’ on RHOBH!
Paul “PK” Kemsley bangs Dorit Kemsley for calling him a “full-blown alcoholic,” calling her claims hurtful and misguided, and thinking she’s exploiting his struggles for a storyline.
“I was shocked, disappointed and upset about it Dorit had to say,” PK admitted on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. “I’m really proud and public about my sobriety, and I’ve been (sober) for 12 months and two weeks.”
PK revealed that his decision to go public with his sobriety was meant to inspire others, calling it one of the toughest journeys of his life. However, he took note of this Dorits Comments reflected a lack of understanding of addiction.
“Dorit’s lack of understanding of sobriety is not her fault,” he said. “She didn’t work through a program and didn’t do what I did. So there is no such thing as a “full-blown alcoholic.” You’re either an alcoholic or you’re not.”
While PK While he acknowledged that his alcoholism played a role in their marital problems, he stressed that it was only part of the picture. “If you understand the disease, alcoholism is a symptom. That’s not a cause,” he explained. “The reality is you have to figure out what caused it.”
I’m watching the premiere episode, PK admitted it was “emotionally difficult.” He thought about it Dorits Comments about his previous financial difficulties, including gambling debts and bankruptcy, were, in his opinion, misrepresented. “The bankruptcy and all the gambling debts were there long before I met her,” he clarified.
“I haven’t played since 2008. I don’t drink. The bankruptcy was in 2010, (2009) … all of that was in the past.” PK also addressed the timeline of their separation, which they agreed to in May of this year. He revealed that he initiated the breakup after realizing it Dorits Accident.
“It was the lowest point ever and I had said, ‘This isn’t working and we need some time apart,'” he recalled.
Ponder Dorits claiming he is a “full-blown alcoholic” PK corrected her terminology. “I am in a full recovery phase,” he explained. “That’s the term: ‘fully grown.’ That’s where it should be used.”
Despite the tension, PK expressed sadness rather than anger about their situation. “I never thought that the two of us, the closest couple in the damn world, would ever be able to watch this woman I love, the mother of my children, talk negatively about me on a TV show,” he said.
“It’s just unusual. It’s an unusual concept.”
