The UN is calling on Israeli forces to leave southern Lebanon, citing “ongoing destruction” despite a ceasefire

The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) expressed concern on Thursday about the “ongoing destruction” of infrastructure in southern Lebanon despite Israel’s late November ceasefire with Hezbollah and called for a “timely withdrawal” of Israeli troops.
