The Cleveland Cavaliers were off to a red-hot start to the 2024-25 season, and center Jarrett Allen backed that statement with an impressive trick shot before the game came to a close on Monday night.
The Cavaliers’ matchup with the Utah Jazz was delayed due to an issue with one of the rims at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Allen had fun making sure he stayed warmed up before tipping.

Allen went to halfcourt and shot backwards. He sank it and the crowd in the arena went wild.
The All-Star center is averaging 13.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the Cavaliers this season. He also averages one steal and almost one block per game. Last season he was named Defensive Player of the Year.

He is in his fourth full season with the Cavs. He was acquired by the midway through the 2020-21 season Brooklyn Nets as part of the blockbuster deal that saw James Harden move east in a trade that also included the Houston Rockets.
Cleveland has been one of the bright spots in the NBA this season. The Cavaliers posted 15 straight wins to start the year and have maintained that pace despite losing four times this year. Before the game against Utah, the team had only lost once in December.

The Cavaliers were hoping to start a little Christmas break after the Eastern Conference and be in good spirits as the rush to the postseason really began this week. The Cavaliers have three days off before beginning a four-game road trip with the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
