Residents of Syrian towns in a border province with Israel watch as IDF troops settle in their neighborhood. Quneitra Province is located on the Golan Plateau. Israel captured the Golan Heights in 1967 after the Six-Day War. After another subsequent war, a UN buffer zone was established between Israel and Syria in 1974.
