Former porn actress and former pastor Brittni De La Mora is calling for age verification laws to become “mandatory” to “protect children” as Florida is set to pass legislation in January.
Pornhub will soon no longer be available to users in Florida after the Sunshine State introduced a new age verification rule for accessing adult websites. From January 1, 2025, the age verification rule is bound to the State HB 3a measure to protect minors on the Internet.
Pornhub’s parent company, Aylo, emphasized to Fox News Digital that it supported the implementation of effective age verification, although not specifically in the way Florida’s law was designed, saying that other media outlets had incorrectly reported that Age verification is not supported at all.
“They are deflecting responsibility by saying they don’t want to follow a simple law, namely age verification for pornography,” De La Mora said on “The Ingraham Angle.” “I don’t know exactly what they do with their money, but I don’t think they care about protecting little children.”
“58 percent of minors who viewed pornography for the first time – they saw it by coming across it through a pop-up ad, etc. And they weren’t looking for porn -” Looking for porn for them,” De La Mora said.
According to the bill, a website or application that “contains a significant amount of material harmful to minors” must verify the user’s age. It is necessary to confirm that the user is at least 18 years old through an “anonymous or standard age verification method” in order to proceed with the interaction.
In response to the measure, Aylo decided to block access to the adult website in Florida, saying in a statement that collecting “highly sensitive personal information” “endangers the safety of users.”
“To be clear, Aylo has publicly supported age verification of users for years, but we believe that any law to this effect must protect the safety and privacy of users and effectively protect children from accessing content intended for adults. Unfortunately, that is the case.” Many jurisdictions around the world, including Florida, have decided to implement age verification. This is ineffective, arbitrary and dangerous. Furthermore, any regulations that require hundreds of thousands of adult websites to collect significant amounts of highly sensitive personal data endanger the safety of users. Experience has shown that unless properly enforced, users will simply access non-compliant websites or find other methods to do so to circumvent laws,” Aylo said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
The statement later continued: “The best solution to make the internet safer, protect user privacy and prevent children from accessing adult content is to perform age verification at the source: on the device . The technology to achieve this exists today. What is needed is “We are committed to being part of this solution and are pleased to work with government, civil society and technology partners to arrive at an effective device-based age verification solution to provide free and easy-to-use parental control features that can prevent, that children access adult content without risking the exposure of sensitive user data.”
Florida residents who continue to use the app before the deadline will receive a countdown pop-up informing them of how many days they have remaining access to the site.
“Did you know that your government requires you to surrender your driver’s license before you can access PORNHUB?” The popup reads. “As crazy as that sounds, it’s true. You must prove that you are 18 years of age or older, for example by uploading your government-issued ID, for any adult content website you wish to access.”

The pop-up also touched on how it helps minors who cannot access the site, saying that preventing use is a “good thing.” It directed readers to alternative methods for blocking underage access, such as “device-based age verification.”
De La Mora continued: “I was in the Porn industry for seven years and I would get extra money to do aggressive, offensive scenes.”
She explained how the acts of “hair pulling, spitting and choking” commonly found in porn clips have become “sex education” for young people.
After speaking to several young girls, De La Mora said many no longer expressed a desire to have sex after their first sexual experience.
“I don’t blame the boys. They look at pornography and that’s what fills their minds and that’s what teaches them how to have sex,” she said.

“Protecting children is in no way a violation of your First Amendment rights. I believe our government has a duty to protect children,” De La Mora said, arguing that adult content “is not created for children ” would. “It’s made for adults, and yet there’s no accountability for porn companies.”
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ communications office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
