Blac Chyna is working on “clearing” perceptions of herself by staying sober
A beaming Blac Chyna (White seems okay with being referred to by her stage name) recently sat down to talk about her journey to sobriety, which she says wasn’t always easy.
“In the past, when I tried to be sober, I would relapse,” White shared, noting that this usually happens after about four to six months.
“This time,” she continued, “I’m just going to let it slide. “Things that would normally trigger me, I would just leave out – (because) you have to put yourself first.”
“It feels good,” she said. “(I feel) clear.”

Blac Chyna celebrates self-love and “good food” as aspects of a sober life
White, a mother of two, also acknowledged that being in a better place is important for the well-being of others and that this is one of her reasons for staying sober.
“You have to put yourself first,” the 31-year-old specified, “and then (you can) worry about the people around you.” If you don’t take care of yourself, how can you take care of yourself (someone) else care?”
To stay focused, White now emphasizes good exercise and good food.
“I ate well,” she says, smiling. “It (really) works.”

With change comes love as Blac Chyna prepares to say “I do.”
Conversations soon turned to White’s recent engagement to Milano, which, as reported here, is on The explosionpopped the question this October, a year after they met.
White says she had no idea what her future husband had planned when he got down on one knee in front of a supportive crowd during Howard University’s homecoming game.
“So I just looked at him (silently) for a second,” she remembers.
“I forgot the crowd was there,” White continued, “and it was just me and Derrick. I had to take it all in.”
Milano, who accompanied White to the interview, admitted how “hard” it was to keep his sweet intentions a secret.
“Everyone wants to tell Angela everything, so I had to make sure the people I told kept it to themselves,” he shared.

Among the first to hear the good news were White’s children, 8-year-old Dream, her daughter with Rob Kardashian, and 12-year-old Cairo, a son she shares with rapper Tyga.
“When I told them, they were excited,” White noted, adding, “I got a good reaction from them!”

A sweet moment with Wendy Williams shows White’s personal growth
White’s ongoing transformation follows her decision to convert to Christianity sometime in 2022.
After her baptism, she deleted her OnlyFans account and reversed most of the plastic surgery she had had since becoming famous.
Perhaps one of the most heartwarming depictions of White’s evolution was featured in the Lifetime documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams?”, which followed the former talk show host’s alleged struggles with sobriety. A statement released before the broadcast revealed that Williams had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
As seen in the docuseries, White makes a surprise visit to Williams’ apartment during his New York visit and warmly engages with her, bringing out moments of vulnerability in both women.
White spoke about their connection earlier this year, which first came about after Williams repeatedly spoke negatively about her in her Hot Topic segments.
“I was doing the show (at one point) and while we were sitting on set, she said, ‘Let’s go out to dinner tonight,'” White recalled.
“I really wanted her to see me, (so) we ordered so much food (and) had a great time.”

Time heals everything as she continues to rebuild with her “mom” Tokyo Toni
On the first anniversary of her sobriety, an emotional White was stunned when her mother, Tokyo Toni, surprised her at an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show.
Having previously been estranged, the two had reconnected long before meeting on camera, but White couldn’t help but be proud of how far the two had come in their relationship.
“I never thought I would get to this point,” a tearful White said. “That’s what moms are for.”
More recently, Toni, still as fiery as ever, went to bat for her daughter when an ex claimed White physically assaulted him.
“I came there and spanked your f***ing ass,” she claimed in a rant on social media, “(and) I’m going to beat your f***ing ass again the same f***ing way!”
