Car reportedly drove into crowd at German Christmas market
According to local media reports, a car crashed into a crowd at a Christmas market in eastern Germany.
According to the MDR, at least one person was killed and several injured in the incident in Magdeburg.
The alleged driver of the car was also arrested, said MDR, citing a government spokesman.
A video on social media shows a number of people lying on the ground and emergency workers attending.
According to local authorities, an “extensive police operation” was underway and the market had been closed.
