Putin says he is ready to compromise with Trump on Ukraine war

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday he hasn’t spoken to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in years but is “ready to negotiate and compromise” with him over the war in Ukraine. Trump has touted his ability to reach a peace deal with Ukraine within hours of taking office next month, without giving details.
