Believe it or not, the fight against the transition from fall to summer has already begun. Disrespect is at an all-time high. It really hit me last July when a Halloween exhibition was at a grocery store on the beach.

My own wife fell victim to it. This weekend, while her parents were in town and the temperatures were well into the 90s, she came home with a Halloween bag. But not all hope is lost.

Her message on Twitter over the weekend was slightly different than the one she delivered on Instagram. This message was straight to the point“Just here to remind you it’s summer.”

She pulled out her driver as she had done before and she crushed golf balls away from the lunar landscape, all in the name of respect for summer.
This is how you combat the creeping autumn. Listen, fall is great, especially because it brings football, but let’s keep the Halloween decorations in storage until fall comes.
