France returns Syrian artifacts it has kept since civil war | Syria’s war

France has returned 23 Syrian ancient artifacts it had owned since the civil war broke out in 2011. The collection, which spans from prehistory to the Abbasid period, was restored to the National Museum in Damascus following the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron.
