What started as a simple explanation about unplugging on flights quickly turned into a comedic clash of generations when Sherry Cola’s choice of words ended Harrison Ford out of the loop.
Sherry Cola, who stars in the third season of “Shrinking,” was explaining how she unwinds while traveling when her use of the word “raw-dogging” caused confusion in Ford and led to a humorous back-and-forth about the term’s meaning.
“I’m going to screw up an entire flight,” Sherry Cola admitted during an appearance on Sirius XM.The morning mashup.“ “I’ll just—here’s the thing.” We do the most all the time, right? So sometimes silence and solitude are necessary, and just like sitting on a plane, watching nothing, doing nothing and just staring blankly… that’s what you call watching a flight hard.”
She tried to explain further before Ford intervened.

“That’s not what ‘Raw-Dog’ means,” he said shyly.
“Would you like to explain to us what it actually means?” Moderator Nicole Ryan jokingly questioned.
“You told me a little late,” Ford said. “I really didn’t, so why should I come across something that…”
“Disgusting,” Ryan added. “It’s dirty.”

“You’re married,” emphasized “Shrinking” co-star Christa Miller. “You don’t have to worry about that.”
“I’m over that part of anyone’s life,” Ford explained. “I have five children. People – I never – what does that mean? Why are you letting me do this? And then you make fun of me. It’s because I’m old.
The moment felt like a callback to a scene in the first season of “Shrinking,” in which Ford’s character misuses the term “raw dog.” In the episode, Harrison’s character, Dr. Paul Rhoades that “raw dogging” means “talking to someone who doesn’t want to talk to you.”
