Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy remains silent less than a week after his arrest on domestic violence charges.
The 32-year-old reality star was spotted exiting Long Beach Airport in California on Sunday, December 15, after flying back from a DJ gig in Wisconsin. Kennedy wore a dark jacket and pants and a black baseball cap. He wore sunglasses and large headphones as he walked through the pickup area trying to find his car.
In footage released by TMZKennedy was asked if he could comment on the events of the night of his arrest. More questions followed – including whether Kennedy had spoken to his girlfriend Ally Lewber since the incident – but Kennedy did not respond to any of them. He finally found his vehicle and jumped into the back seat without saying a word.
Us weekly has confirmed that Kennedy was arrested on Tuesday, December 10, after attending Kathy Hiltonis Christmas party at her home in Los Angeles. According to Burbank police, officers responded to a call “involving an argument between a man and a woman,” which was later determined to be a “domestic incident.” Kennedy was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence before posting bail.
Lawyers for the Bravo Personality addressed his arrest in a statement shared on Friday, December 13th. “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made against James by the Burbank Police Department,” the statement said. “We know there were no injuries and we hope that after careful consideration, prosecutors will decide not to file formal charges.”
An eyewitness reported exclusively Us that Kennedy “looked like he was in great spirits” at Hilton’s holiday party the night of his arrest, noting, “He seemed to be in good spirits, dancing, singing and having fun.” A second insider, meanwhile, saw how Kennedy “ran around” the party and “caused a scene” with “erratic” behavior. (Us I have previously reached out to Kennedy’s representatives for comment.)
According to a third source, the incident that led to Kennedy’s arrest was “a complete misunderstanding” and Lewber has no plans to press charges further. “They were arguing and a neighbor was outside and heard them fighting and called the police and the cops came,” the source said Us.
A police report later revealed more details An unidentified woman claimed that Kennedy “picked her up and threw her to the ground.” Lewber, 28, broke her silence about the situation on her Instagram Story on Saturday, December 14th.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out and reached out to me with love and support,” she wrote. “I’m doing well and taking the time I need right now. I really appreciate all of the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”
