Pursuing your goals is something to be proud of. It takes effort, consistency, and patience—and your tools should support that energy, not get in the way.

We’re excited to share some important updates to your MyFitnessPal experience. We’ve heard feedback from our members and wish it was a little easier to do the things that matter most to them in the app. And that’s why pursuing your goals with MyFitnessPal will soon feel more intuitive, insightful and supportive than ever before.

We know that change can be surprising. That’s why we want to inform you in advance and give you an overview of what’s coming so that you’re as excited about this new experience as we are.

Let’s see what’s new!

Get to know your new Today screen

Your home screen has a new name – and a new purpose.

Say hello to the Today The screen is designed to keep the most important things you do front and center in the app, so you can focus on your goals for today without having to switch between tabs. Your diary, daily calories and macros, and habit tracking are now consolidated into one streamlined view, meaning less typing and less friction. And because your diary is immediately available as soon as you open the app, you can log in and get back to your day more quickly.

Your daily progress at a glance

At the top of the Today screen, you’ll now see clear, easy-to-read graphics that show how you’re hitting your daily calorie and macro goals in real time. These snapshots can help you quickly see where you are today – so you can make informed decisions, make adjustments as needed, and move forward with confidence. No guesswork required.

And as part of this update, the Today Screen’s daily macro breakdowns are now available to free users! Whether you’re consuming protein, balancing carbs and fat, or just learning what works best for your body, it’s now easier for all of our members to achieve goals with confidence.

Quickly log weight, water and exercise

Scroll a little further and you’ll find even more ways to easily track what matters. Logging your water intake, exercise, step count and weight is now easier and more accessible. Because easier tracking for all By analyzing your healthy habits, you can get a more consistent, detailed and complete picture of your entire health journey – beyond counting calories.

Your progress, personalized

And easier logging is just the beginning. We’re also introducing a brand new one Progress Tab – a dedicated section that turns your daily tracking information into meaningful weekly insights.

You’ll see how your macro patterns compare to your personal goals, where you’re doing well, and where a little extra support might help. Along the way, you’ll get nutritionist-backed insights and actionable tips to help you improve week after week. Each protocol will help you learn more about what works for you, increase awareness, and give you the confidence to adapt and stay strong!

Preview: GLP-1 support

We also work behind the scenes to better support members with GLP-1 therapy.

Our goal is to create an all-in-one space where you can track your GLP-1 medication along with your diet – because understanding how your diet impacts the success of your GLP-1 therapy will make your weight loss journey less of a guessing game. Once you have the latest version of the app, you can opt-in to our current GLP-1 support features using the More menu. There you can log your medications, track the dose and timing, and note the injection site.

We’ll soon be adding medication reminders to make remembering your next dose less stressful. We also work to track side effects so you can see the connections between your medications, meals, and symptoms and develop habits that really work for your body and your goals.

They never stop striving – neither do we

Our goal has always been – and always will be – to help you achieve your goal. It’s not always easy to change your life for the better. That’s why we’ll continue working to make MyFitnessPal as intuitive as possible to support you every day without getting in your way. The new Today screen and Progress tab work together to show how small, consistent actions over time lead to real results – and to make those actions easier.
