Shakira proved the show must go on after he recently slipped and fell on stage at a concert in El Salvador.
While the 49-year-old singer was performing her song “Si Te Vas” in San Salvador on Tuesday as part of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,” she twisted her ankle mid-song, lost her footing and fell on stage.
Shakira, who was carrying her microphone stand, hit her elbow on the floor but quickly righted herself and continued the show.

The four-time Grammy winner She later poked fun at herself, sharing a video of the incident on her Instagram Story and writing: “Don’t worry I’m made of rubber hahah.”

Although Shakira made light of the moment, the “Whenever, Wherever” hitmaker’s fall sparked concern among her fans.
A fan account shared a clip about Shakira’s fall in an Instagram post in which she wrote, among other things: “Our hearts skipped a beat for Shakira…”
“We hope it was just a simple sprain and that she is okay,” the caption added. “But even unexpected moments can’t dim Shakira’s light. Seeing how quickly she got up and kept going after slipping and.” fall on the stage of El Salvador was really inspiring. She’s not just an artist, she’s a warrior! But please take care, @shakira.

“Ouch the elbow!! I hope it’s okay,” one fan commented, while another added: “It hurt me to see her fall.”
“Heaven is keeping the queen quiet, it hurt me more than her,” complained one fan.
Many fans also expressed their admiration for Shakira’s resilience and professionalism.

“It was important that you stood up,” commented another.
“Excellent artist, she falls like that, she gets up and keeps going,” chimed in another.

The Fans of pop stars also shared their reactions in videos posted on X.
“Only the brave get up and carry on like nothing happened. Congratulations to @shakira who sets an example for all women: no matter how many times we fall, the most important thing is to get back up, keep singing and be happy in life,” one fan commented on a video.
Another added: “Very few artists get up and keep singing like they always do. Shakira the (queen emoji).”
One X user wrote: “Noooooo” and added three crying smiley face emojis.
“Elbow will hurt tomorrow, hope you’re okay,” commented another.

Some fans responded to Shakira’s joke about her fall, with one X user writing, “The woman is made of rubber hahaha! Even when she falls she looks like a diva.”
“She’s a bit wild, I love the expression: I’m made of rubber,” another agreed, adding crying and laughing smiley face emojis.

Tuesday’s incident is not the first time Shakira has fallen during a concert. In May 2025, Shakira fell during a performance Show in Montreal, Canada but he quickly recovered and finished the show.
At the time, Shakira also posted a video of her fall, writing in Spanish: “Like I said… no one escapes falls!” and added: “No one is safe from falling!”

In February 2025, Shakira launched her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour”, a worldwide stadium tour in support of her twelfth studio album of the same name.

The tour, her first in seven years, kicked off in Rio de Janeiro in February 2025 and is scheduled to run through April 2026, with stops across North America, Latin Americathe Middle East and more.

After to Billboard, The tour grossed approximately $421.6 million and attracted over 3.3 million fans worldwide in more than 80 stadium shows across the United States and Latin America. This made it the highest-grossing tour of all time by a Hispanic artist and set a Guinness World Record.
Live Nation and Billboard also reported that ticket sales broke records in several countries. Within Latin America, around 950,000 tickets were sold across 18 stadiums in less than two hours at the start of the tour and there were several sold-out shows and additional dates to meet fan demand.
