12.19 Friday Favorites – The Fitnessista

Hello friends! Happy Friday! How are you doing? What are you up to this weekend?

We will look at the lights in the Botanical Gardens and also go to the Princess next week; I can barely wait for it. It definitely makes me feel like the holidays are here. I’d love to hear what you’re up to!

Now it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds of the week and around the internet. I’m always happy to hear about your favorites too, so please share what you like in the comments section below.

Fashion, beauty, coincidence:

We had so many fun events last week. It was a friend’s birthday dinner, I had dinner at a friend’s house (she made great salads and we just hung out and chatted) and we had a Christmas party for the charity the pilot is a part of. It’s our first year and everyone has been so warm and nice.

(I had a huge outfit scramble, but I ended up wearing this! We don’t have a Nordstrom here in Tucson – big sad face – but I can usually find good stuff at Dillard’s last minute)

We had our annual Four Christmases At the graduation party, our Christmas tree is completely dried out and dead (it’s the second year this has happened! It hasn’t used any water the entire time) and I’m almost done with the holiday baking. We bring cookie jars to our neighbors every year.

Here’s a roundup of this year’s gift guides in case you’re still shopping!

Read, watch, listen:

I just finished this audio book and loved all the tips.

Films, books and food from the past year.

My mentor, Dr. Cabral, has published his latest book: which he has been working on for eight years. It’s everything I could have wanted and I had to stop myself from reading the entire book in one sitting. I’ll be writing a full review soon, but I highly recommend picking up a copy for yourself.

Took the kids to see it Zootopia 2 and we all really enjoyed it!! It’s just as good as the first.

Fitness, health and good food:

Our health planning course! Many thanks to all my internet friends who were able to be there. We had an extremely productive planning session mapping out your 2026 year based on your health and wellness goals. If you’re already trying to plan your health goals for the new year, stick with it. I have something new in January and can’t wait to share it with you!

This copycat Red Lentil Dahl Soup recipe from Whole Foods

What I eat in a day <— Latest on Substack

Did this for the crew and they told me it was “bus” which means “very tasty”.

I’m going to try this crustless quiche.

Blast from the past: Why I tried Nutrisense and what I learned

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I wish you a great weekend and see you soon!
