I mostly got over the shin rails, which were mentioned in my last post until Friday (although they are still a bit sore when I try to stretch them). I have been able to make my trips harder since last Friday. Both Friday and Sunday were hard trips, including intervals and strength training on the bike, while on Saturday and yesterday there were hard upper body training. It felt great to be able to go faster again. The trip on Sunday included a pleasant visit Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch Park in South San Jose. It was hot again this week, but still cool in the morning, so I got all my workouts early.
Some of the outbuildings with different farm animals in the Bernal Gulnac-Joice Ranch ParkThe path to the right quickly becomes steep and drives to the Santa Teresa Park. It used to be a favorite hike for me, and I look forward to returning to it.
