Seattle octopus The Center John Hayden and her mascot Boje had a close encounter with a brown bear during an advertising video shoot in Alaska in June.
Hayden and Boje were on a fly fishing trip in Katmai National Park When the bear approached them.
During the fishing, Hayden and Boje were accompanied by a guide who discovered the bear. The guide had the crew waded through the flat river.

When they got away, the bear, who approached them closer to them, turned through the water a few steps before they came to a standstill and removed.
“I want to blame Boje,” said Hayden on the video afterwards. “They were pretty interested in his look.”

Brown bears are usually on the Brooks River in the Katmai National Park salmon on salmon and devour them while they jump upstream over Brooks Falls. The park, almost 300 miles (485 km) southwest of Anchorage and inaccessible on the street, houses the annual “Fat Bear Week” competition, which celebrates the bears while they are eating for the winter.
“Bears are all over Brooks Falls and this is their territory,” said Melissa O’Brochta, marketing director for Marketing from Kraken Partnership, who also recorded the encounter of Shore. “You are also very used to seeing people. So I wasn’t afraid.”

Hayden and Boje were part of an annual trip in Alaska as part of the Bristol Bay Native Corporation in Anchorage, Alaska, with events that promote youth ice hockey. Alaska does not have its own NHL team. The closest teams are in Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia that has the one Vancouver Canucks.
