My problems with sciatica are quite durable at the moment, so I could increase my training. I still get a little pain in my right si joint when I walk or stand around too much and sometimes there is slight pain in my leg. I have investigated how Si -Common Problems could pass in Ischias, and it seems that there are at least two mechanisms. The Piriformis muscle crosses the SI joint and can be irritated, which in turn can influence the sciatic nerve, which runs directly underneath (or in some people through the Piriformis muscle). A second way is that if it is inflamed, the SI joint can release inflammatory enzymes (Cytokines) which can cross the nearby sciatic nerve.
