We share a complete summary of our cruise on the Disney Fantatie from Barcelona to Rome, Pisa (Florence), Genoa (Milan), Bandol (Provence) and back to Barcelona. This is Disney Cruise No. 6 for us (gold, baby!) And has been my darling so far. You can find this post for Disney Cruise tips and tricks.
Hello friends! How are you doing? I hope you have a great morning. We are here in Seville and have a great time with our friends and enjoy after our trip to Barcelona,
(Had to use canvas to remove a few people from the front of the picture. Link to the dress is here!)))
For today’s post I wanted to share a summary of the cruise! You know that we are striving for Disney Cruises – I never thought that I would generally be a cruise person, but here we are – and this was a travel route that I wanted to do for years. I was a flash through all my favorite places (previously): Spain, Italty and France. It was an absolute dream.
Disney Fantasy Spain, Italy and France summary
We booked this trip with some of our closest friends and cruise buddies – I think that was Disney Cruise #17 for you. We planned this trip * in hope * The pilot would train with the airline – he had to complete the training again if He withdrew from the military And went back to the commercial – but unfortunately the timeline didn’t quite work. Since he would be gone anyway, we decided to stick to our plans and enjoy a girls’ trip. I think the girls will always remember this solo cruise trip with only three and some amazing friends.
Disney Fantasy verandah Room
We have a veranda room and in the past we didn’t use it as much as we should. This time I spent a lot of time on the veranda that drinks and read coffee, or in the late afternoon wine happy hour with kathryn because her room was right next door.
It was spacious and beautiful, and Disney bed linen is just an A+ all around. It is softer and more luxurious than most hotel beds. (You use Frette bedding that we bought after our first Disney cruise because we loved them so much.)
((Take a look at the canopy humidifier in the background – I never travel without and my eyes and skin are so much happier)
Shows and entertainment
Disney offers incredible shows in Broadway quality and entertainment of musicians, comedians, deck parties with characters and dancers and films. During our cruise they had three boys in Broadway style: Aladdin, faith, And Frozen. P and I broke two of them so that we could slide with the water – the pool is empty during the shows and dinner – but Frozen Was incredible. It was the best Elsa I’ve ever seen. She absolutely put it down.
We also saw the new one Lilo and stitch Film on board the date before it was officially published! We all loved it. It was warm and funny and I cried almost a few times.
Food and gluten-free food on a Disney cruise
As far as I hear, Disney is one of the safest cruises when they have food allergies. They take them very seriously and even if they have sensitivity or intolerance to an allergy, treat them like an allergy. We did a gluten-free food tour in Barcelona,
The GF chocolate -walnut is my favorite -dessert by Disney Cruise:
In the past, I have just navigated the menus alone because they are clearly marked with gluten -free options. Since P is now also GF, I told you that we both have gluten sensitivities (and it was clear that we are not allergic. Mine is for health reasonss and P has a severe sensitivity)They went beyond everything.
They had gluten -free warm rolls at the table every night, and they would only pre -order every evening for the following day. You can create one of the * regular * menu options with the advance notice.
Kathryn and I had a night of Palo and the salmon was perfect:
Indian food in the Cabanas buffet is my favorite day:
We also had to have gluten-free Mickey waffles and churro waffles in the morning. Bless it.
Port adventure and excursions
I went overzealously with the port Adventures because they were so beautiful places. You can’t be in Pisa and don’t get off the boat, do you know? In the first two days (approx. 10 hours) it was long trips, but the girls were soldiers.
We did the following:
Rome alone
That was all. They climbed into a bus to Rome for about 2 hours, they dropped them off to enjoy their lives for 5 hours. You take the bus back.
With “Enjoy your life” for us, this meant an epic Italian lunch and shopping for the rest of the time.
The gluten -free pizza in La Sofitta Renovatio was everything I wanted.
We enjoyed the sights, kept in the afternoon -espresso and dessert and we were very satisfied.
Pisa and Florence with a guided hike
We could see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Cathedral, Baptistery and Camposanto. It sprint a little, but still nice. It was also the same day as the time trial by Giro d’Italia, so we could see how the cyclists were ready.
Then we went to Florence, where we had skipped the guided hike, and decided to shop for a complete GF meal in Mama Eat, more shopping, visiting the basilica of Santa Croce and watching an opera road on the square.
We have to go back to Florence and explore more in Tuscany.
Genoa aquarium
For Genoa we opted for a shorter excursion to visit the aquarium that was one of the most impressive aquariums that we visited. Funny fact: You use water from the ocean that is filtered and optimized for the pH balance, so that the fish have wonderful clean water every day. We all enjoyed this; Short and cute.
Bandol alone
For Bandol we enjoyed a beach day in this picturesque and beautiful beach town. The girls had crepes, we grabbed snacks from a market and sat on beach towels while the girls collected shells and played in the water.
We made the usual gimmicks on the ship. The girls played the detective game,
We made karaoke for families every evening, a few trivia/games, bingo, by the pool, and enjoyed the fabulous food and the fabulous entertainment. We also had time in the room and I did a few training sessions in the gym.
Although the cruise was 7 nights, it went too quickly !! We spent a few nights in Barcelona- I will soon have a contribution with some Barcelona adventures and then went to Sevilla.
So, tell me, friends: are you a cruise person or not so much? We love Disney Cruises, but we have not tried any other cruise lines.
I hope you have a great day and see you soon!
