Rabat – Authorities in the Moroccan city of Ben Ahmed have uncovered disturbing new findings when examining a cruel crime that the country shocked.
On Sunday, human remains were discovered in the toilets of the large mosque of the city, and the police now confirm that part of the victim’s meat was unknown to the public by a local food seller.
Snrt news announced a source of security that the victim was a man in the fifties who lived in the area and worked in a glasses business. He had missed two days before his family reported his disappearance.
The main suspect was found in the toilets of the mosque in a strongly disturbed state, which loudly recited the Koran verses and refused to react to the police.
The man, who is now in custody, has reportedly said to be anamnesis of mental illnesses and had received treatment in a psychiatric hospital. He had recently been entrusted with the care of the mosque because it seemed to be in a stable state.
Investigator Later, the suspicious piece of meat discovered a popular grilled food seller in the neighborhood. Tests showed that the meat was actually human meat.
Additional remains, including bones and internal organs, were found in other places and confirmed that this belongs to the same victim.
In a statement, the National Directorate National Security (DGSN) said that forensic and scientific police teams searched the mosque and found body parts in plastic bags as well as several knives and sharp tools.
The suspects’ clothes were stained with blood, and he behaved violently when he was arrested, Snrt news. The police also found “suspicious” personal objects in his house, which are now being examined for a possible connection to the victim.
