Rabat – Hungary repeated his support for the autonomy plan in Morocco for Western Sahara. The Hungarian Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjarto, confirmed the position of his country during a press conference after his meeting with the Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Budapest.
Szijjarto said that Hungary is considering the autonomy plan for a solution to the western Sahara conflict as part of the framework of the United Nations. He added that Hungary had taken note of the recent confirmations of the United States and France to support the Moroccan initiative.
The Hungarian minister also announced that he has instructed Hungary ambassadors in Morocco to visit the southern regions in the southern regions of the Moroccas in Western Sahara after the example of ambassadors from other large countries that have already made similar visits.
The Hungary embassy in Morocco will now offer all Moroccan citizens across the country consular services, added Szijjarto.
In a press release, the Foreign Ministry of Moroccs announced that Szijjarto’s explanation further confirms the clear support of Hungary for the autonomy plan in Morocco and expands the growing international dynamics.
Several large countries, including the United States and FranceRecently repeated their support for the autonomy plan in Morocco and described it as a serious and credible solution. This growing international support reflects the country’s efforts to secure stability and development in the region.
With the increasing support of the global powers and the continued recognition of its territorial integrity, Morocco wins position in the western Sahara on the international stage.
The United States confirmed its support for the Morocco autonomy plan during a meeting between us under secretary Lisa Kenna and the uniaption last week.
