Morocco and France will set up a Franco Moroccan working group that is responsible for reviewing the nationality of migrants in an irregular situation in France to facilitate their return to the country of origin. This was announced on Monday in Rabat, the French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, during his work visit to the kingdom.
At the end of an interview with his Moroccan counterpart Abdelouafi Laftit, Mr. Retailleau praised an agreement on “a certain number of points” that aimed to improve cooperation between the two countries.
This mixed group will make it possible to “instruct Moroccan citizenship or not from a number of illegal immigrants to instruct foreigners in an irregular situation,” said the French minister. “I think that they are changing French and Moroccan mixed teams to the management of this identification work and” increasing the efficiency in questions of the takeover, “he added.
In a press release, the Department of Laftit confirmed “the entire commitment” of the kingdom “to work for the development of a common repository”.
