Digitization of trade: The state signs for the future


On Wednesday on Wednesday on Wednesday, a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Digital Transition and the Reform of the Administration and the Ministry of Industry and Trade was signed to accelerate the digitization of trade in Morocco.

The agreement was initialized by Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, minister -delegate for digital transition and Omar Hejira, State Secretary for Foreign Trade. The agreement revolves around two axes: the digitization of indoor trade through the generalization of digital tools, training, support for the MRTB platform and the promotion of national e-commerce as well as the support of digital export projects for the introduction of three platforms: One Shop Store Export, Trade.ma and Tijaria, integrated edge of intelligence tools.

El Fallah Siehrouchni emphasized that this initiative reflects the desire to digitally make a strategic competitiveness lever and at the same time to remember the recent introduction of an excellence center in the AI in Morocco in cooperation with the UNDP. It insisted how important technological innovations are internationally to strengthen the economic presence of the kingdom. Hejira for his part has highlighted the direct effects of this digital transition to more than 1.6 million people in the trading sector in Morocco. He also underlined the key role of digital export platforms when reviving the exchange and the attractiveness of the Moroccan offer on the world markets.

The implementation of this agreement is checked by two governance committees to ensure strategic and operational follow -up.
