The Minister for Economic Integration, Small Company, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, met on Thursday in Geneva with the WTO General Director, NGOZI OKOKONJO IWEALA, in the future of international trade in connection with investments and employment. The interview took place in the presence of the ambassador of Morocco in Geneva, Omar Zniber.
During this meeting, Sekkouri presented the new organic law on the strike rights recently passed by Parliament and confirmed by the constitutional court, after more than six decades of waiting. Okonjo-Iweala welcomed this progress and the economic reforms initiated by the kingdom and qualified for all of Africa.
The minister also emphasized the effects of the latest economic changes in international investments and employment and insisted on the need to adapt public policy. He confirmed the leading role of Morocco on a continental and international level according to royal orientations.
This two -day visit to Geneva allowed the minister to speak to the general director of the IAO, the general secretary of the Unctad and other officials from UN organizations.
