Mehdi Harfa started with Bundesliga St.Pauli

Mehdi Harfi is about to the German Bundesliga. St. Pauli will seal the deal for the aspiring Moroccan striker despite great interest by a large number of top European clubs.

According to Africafoot, St. Pauli has already pre-treated a preliminary contract with the 20-year-old, and the deal is expected to be concluded before the end of the current season. His contract with Toulouse runs until June 2025, but it seems unlikely that it will extend it, and the German club puts it on a four -year contract.

While Harfi only scored three goals this season, his potential is clear and several clubs have followed him. But it is St. Pauli who apparently won the race and defeated the competition of some of the largest names in Europe.

Harbi was born in Mérignac, France, and began his journey in the FCE Mérignac-Arlac before making the leap to FC Girondins de Bordeaux Academy. In Bordeaux, he quickly made a name for himself and scored 15 goals for the U19 team in two seasons.

Harbi received a professional contract with Bordeaux, but in limited possibilities of the first team he moved to Toulouse FC in April 2023. Since his accession, he played in the club’s reserve team in the National 3 League and scored three goals in 15 games.

The young striker received a commitment to the Morocco U20 national team in September 2023 and was his debut with one goal. His reputation continues to grow and more chances with the Morocco team could be on the horizon.

Harbi is at 1.83 meters and can be known for its versatility and can play as a wing player or center forward, using his physical presence, mobility and technical ability to cause problems for defenders.
