In view of the spread of pilgrimage trees in certain neighboring countries, the Ministry of the Interior announced the strengthening of standby, mobilization and alarm level on Saturday to cope with this challenge.
Ships were recently identified in certain regions in the southeast of the kingdom. Although the situation is under control, preventive measures were taken, in particular the reactivation of command centers, the establishment of specialized teams and the mobilization of the necessary resources.
The Ministry has assured that sufficient insecticide stocks are available for quick interventions and at the same time make sure to preserve the biological diversity and natural ecosystems. The affected services remain mobilized in order to monitor the development of the situation and to act quickly if necessary.
