Both Eddie and William have debates about systemic neglect, the failures of the criminal justice system, poverty and generation differences, but it is not hard enough. The comparison is the thief of joy, but “4×4” extends the conflict to the outside and brings the debate onto the street (in the truest sense of the word), while “locked up” it keeps him in between between William and Eddie.
