Rabat – The Karate Team from Morocco returned from Karate 1 Premier League in Hangzhou, China, with two medals and did a strong performance on the international stage.
After an intensive final against Jordan’s Abdel Rahman Almastafa, who chose silver, Said Oubaya secured gold gold in the category below 67 kg.
The bronze went to Azerbaijans Nuran Rzazade and China’s Shin Cheng.
Nisrine Brouk offered Morocco’s success and earned a bronze medal In the category below 68 kg. Japan’s Kama Tsubasa took the top position in the division.
The competition, which took place from March 14th to 16th, brought together some of the best karate athletes in the world.
Morocco continues to obtain recognition on the global sports stage, with the athletes being convinced in various disciplines, from football and athletics to sports such as karate.
In December 2024 the Morocco’s karate team complete Third in the Arabic karate championships in Amman, Jordan, brought 20 medals home.
The championships recorded a violent competition between 330 athletes from nine countries.
International successes such as the podium in prestigious competitions reflect the country’s growing presence in the sports world.
Investments in training facilities, athlete development programs and international collaborations contribute to this dynamic and position Morocco as an increasing force in global sport.
