Leila Benali defends the Moroccan water strategy in London

Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, took part in London on Friday at a round table for water safety under the chair of Chapman Baroness. Benali emphasized that Morocco, under the direction of SM King Mohammed VI, made a priority, with measures such as waterways to improve the treatment of water resources.

The minister recalled that Morocco is particularly exposed to drought and requires constant measures to ensure water safety. She also emphasized the key role of Morocco in the fight against climate change at continental and international level.

Morocco was the only North African country invited to this meeting, which was organized by the NGO Wateraid under the patronage of King Charles III. The meeting made it possible to discuss the challenges related to water management and the need to strengthen the economic resistance to climatic dangers.
