Bill 03.23, which changes and completed the law on criminal proceedings, was the subject of a study day organized by majority groups in the House of Representatives. The aim of this meeting was to enrich the public debate and to improve the role of the chamber as a space for dialogue and pluralistic debate.
“This study day offers the possibility of throwing light on the new measures of this legislative template and improving them in order to support the changes in Morocco in the past two decades“Said Chaoui Belassal, majority group coordinator
The Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi described this project as “human case law” and explained that the creation of a law is based on compromises based on the differences in interests between the various actors involved.
Fatima Berkane, general secretary of the ministerial delegation responsible for human rights, insisted on the importance of protecting minors and thus suggested to improve the provisions for reconciliation and suspension of criminal proceedings in order to promote the reintegration of minors and to keep them away from the slopes.
