Contains the following spoiler For “invincible” season 3.
“Invincible” season 3 is over and I am destroyed – partly because the last two episodes were uninterrupted horror and brutality, and partly because we have now entered the waiting phase until the fourth season. The number of fatalities of conquest and the invincible war is enormous (Rip Rex)The season ends with at least a few parts of optimism and Solace: Mark (Steven Yeun) and Eve (Gillian Jacobs) confirm their commitment to each other, Oliver (Christian Convery), who continues to go into his power, Omni-Man (JK Simmons) and all (Seth Rogen), against the Viltrum Imperium, and the Vend-Thas Manager, and the Vend-Das-Manag Vend-Das violence, the Vend-Das Manager, and the Vend-Das violence, entry.
Nevertheless, the season ends with several major threats in the shade. A final assembly shows the sequids that build strength Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown) remains overallNow under the control of mysterious technicians. However, the final post-credits scene of the “Invincible” season 3 actually focuses on Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown), which was banned back into hell in season 1 of Cecil (Walton Goggins).
Darkblood is more of a joke character in the comics – a parody of “Watchmen” Vigilante Rorschach with a Hellboy spin. The show already gave him a little more dimension in season 1 and it looks like it could get more new material in the future. The “invincible” season 3 scene after the loan suggests that Darkblood has plans for Mark Grayson, and these plans seem to contain a much more powerful figure from hell itself. At the same time, the scene is quite cryptic, so let’s take a closer look.
What happens in the invincible scene of the third season after the loan?
The “invincible” season 3 post-creditits scene begins with the fact that Damien Darkblood draws an summoning group in a species in a cave in hell. This summon conjures up a much older demon. Darkblood describes this older creature as “Lord” and later as “the big animal”, which indicates that he both have a high rank in hell and is incredibly powerful. The demon detective claims that he “means to restore them on Infernal throne”, which revolves around a “surface inhabitant of great strength, as this planet has not seen since eons,”.
It seems to assume that Darkblood refers to invincible here, since he claims that the person in question is far stronger than anyone else on earth. The detective then explains that he has found a way to bring this figure back to hell and to tell the older demon: “His blackened heart is tied to her service.”
While Damien Darkblood generally comes out on the side of the good in the first season, it is difficult not to read this scene as incredibly scary. When he talks about Mark, the reference to a “blackened heart” is particularly interesting. Does it mean that Invincible is already down to a point where he could be controlled by hell magic, perhaps with his newly discovered relationship with killing? Or does he think that the process of bringing it under the thrall of the “big animal” will corrupt his heart? In any case, it doesn’t sound great for invincible. And since there is no precedent for this action in the comics, it is impossible to say what Darkblood has planned.
It is also worth mentioning that this new demon character is expressed by Bruce Campbell – an actor whose awareness suggests some dark deeds in the horror genre.
The Damien Darkblood act is completely new for the invincible show
As already mentioned, Damien Darkblood is an incredibly small character in the “invincible” comics. It is fun to see that the Prime Video series adds new action lines to keep long -term fans on the toes, and it should be interesting to find out how this new plot crosses with other arches, especially the risk of intervention by the Viltrum empire.
We still have a way to go in The viltrumite act with a large picture on “Invincible”, “Invincible”, And the show has done pretty good work in the past to give certain characters and threats for a long time, just to pull them out if they expect the least to face Mark and the other heroes a new challenge. It is also an intelligent Call to Beaver 3 with the scene in hell, as it is the only part that can be seen as a true cliffhanger.
Most of the other action lines that are currently running can be googled if the viewers really want to know what happens because they are very similar in the comics. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s still nice to have a little riddle for everyone while we are waiting for “invincible” season 4.
The first three seasons of “Invincible” are now streamed on Prime video.
