At his SXSW keynote lecture, Hideo Kojima announced that the death of Kojima Productions will debut on PlayStation on June 26, 2025.
Sony also announced that there will be a collector’s edition (on PlayStation.com, and the pre -orders begin on March 17). Norman Reedus (who plays the main character Sam in death and Death Beaching) joined Kojima on stage.
Kojima also showed an almost 10-minute trailer by Death Stranding 2: on the beach with tons of cinematic scenes. At the beginning of the panel session, Kojima said that he had released the death bordering and a few weeks later the pandemic began. The trailer showed many scenes on the beach in which the Death Stranding ends. There are strange huge black creatures with hands where you should be heads. There is a kiss between Sam and Fragile (played by Ley Seydoux) and talking about how death cannot separate it.
The little baby, which is a constant companion for Sam in the first game, is Lou. Lou is now a toddler and has to be protected by fragile, while soldiers attack them on the beach. The environments are so surreal and creative. And you can see how much work Kojima, who has published the trailer, is in the structure of the world of death 2. Highs, played by Troy Baker, returns as a villain in the game. He was so popular that Kojima said he couldn’t kill him and had to bring him back. Baker’s own face will appear in the game and he will sing too!
“I felt really bad,” said Kojima, because humanity is practically wiped out by a pandemic in the game that debuted on November 8, 2019. He noted that the first game was only about the need for people who were connected to how the pandemic had separated them. Sam was one of the most important suppliers who were adopted packages for people who were widely distributed.
Baker said he thought it was great how much he enjoyed working with Reedus, and said if they didn’t go along the screen and then have no magic on the screen. Reedus called Kojima a genius and thanked him that he brought him into play.
But after the pandemic, Kojima had to rethink this, since the pandemic spread out germs from person to person and he had to think more about the connection. The result is death strand 2.
Kojima said Higgs would behave so strangely that they will reach the end and probably throw the controller. Woodkid also came on stage. His song was in the trailer. He said Kojima called him 2.5 years ago and asked him to come to Japan and write a song. He stayed for a few weeks, inspired by the tradition of the game and the beautiful appearances.
