Rabat – Snowfall will continue to meet several Moroccan provinces, including Al Haouz, who were hit by a devastating earthquake in September 2023.
According to the weather -wide alert at the new orange level, the Morocco General Directorate for meteorology expects the snowfall of 5 to 15 centimeters on Monday and Tuesday to exceed more than 1,800 meters.
Approximately 10 and 15 centimeters of Snowfall Beni Mellal, Midel, Tinghir, Ouarzazat and Alzan.
The same weather with 5 to 10 centimeters is expected in the provinces of iFrane, Boulemane, Taroudant and Chichaoua in the same days.
The weather will increase the stress and concerns that are shared by many, as videos online viral and show the difficulties that the Moroccans in Al Haouz experience under the icy weather due to the snowfall.

In January last year, the government said that 56,000 families in areas affected by the Al Haouz disaster benefited from the financial support that was assigned to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of their damaged houses.
The government said they had reached a completion rate of 95% with a total budget of approximately MAD 1.4 billion.
Head of the government director Aziz Akhannouch said the number of building permits that were given targeted families, which corresponds to 90% of the population surveyed in the provinces Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Taroudant, Azilal and Ouonnazat.
