The unions of pharmacists showed their expectations of Moroccan Medicines and Health Products Agency (AMMPS) during a meeting on Wednesday, February 28, 2025. This meeting, which is part of the will of the AMMPs, to strengthen the connections to pharmacists that are seen as a real pillar of the health system, made it possible to discuss important subjects who want to strengthen the central role of the pharmacist. This includes the regulation of the drug cycle and other health products, the right to substitution, the price for drugs and other files that are worried about pharmacists.
During this meeting, union representatives found their expectations to the agency, with the regulatory challenges, the supply tensions that were emphasized with the conditions for the exercise of the profession and the structural limits of their economic model in view of the latest developments in this sector. The unions have focused on the importance of a “strengthened” dialogue and “continuous” consultation between the AMMPs and all experts in the industry in order to create an optimal and permanent work environment, in perfect appropriateness with the realities on site and the problems of public health “.
In this meeting, the participation of the national federation of unions of pharmacists in Morocco (FNSPM), the confederation of the unions of pharmacists from Morocco, the national Union of the pharmacists of Morocco and the National Union of Morocco pharmacists. Note that the points in the center of the exchange are an expansion of the agreements between the unions and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in April 2023 and aim to structure and strengthen the dialogue about the most important questions of the sector.
