Do you remember a time when the internet was a chaotic more personal place? When experience with social media wasn’t that uniform? Skyspace try to regain these days. The site transforms your bluesky profile into a MySpace Isque page with backgrounds, music and a section for your eight best friends. I somehow love it.
“I miss it when social media was more about being social and less with the media,” wrote You are a curranwho created the website in the FAQ of the project. “I miss the personality, ugliness, chaos, the feeling of planting a flag in the tiny part of the Internet and ‘that’s mine’.”
And Skyspace certainly delivers there in such a way that you can basically adapt every aspect of your profile page. Choose every image on the web as a background – including animated GIFs – and optimize the fonts, the color scheme and the limits. Add a song with a Spotify, Soundcloud or Apple music link. List your interests. There is even a version of MySpace “Friends” – complete with an optional top eight.
You can display the SkySpace version of any Bluesky profile, but most of them are boring. To make your interesting, you have to register – head to Skyspace homepageEnter your bluesky handle into the upper right corner and then click on “Register”. They are asked to authorize Skyspace by Bluesky. Do that and you are there. You can now click on the different machining buttons to really optimize your profile.

You can link to any picture on the web to add it to the background and then choose how the image is positioned. You can select the color of each panel and its transparency. You can select the thickness and style of the line around each field. You can even change the text slip and color. Punch SubmitAnd the change will glue.
(The way in which this happens is quite interesting. Your options are actually transformed into a bluesky contribution. Skyspace does not save any of your settings on his own servers – the service only scans profiles for relevant contributions and renders the page with you. As the FAQ, if you edit a section, the site will be answered with #kyspace tagged deadly and sends an answer. Skyspace can see, analyze and transform it into something beautiful/terrible/beautiful.
Discover the rest of your page and optimize everything you can. You can add a quote, a place, incredible, a song and even a list of interests. All of this will feel different for the MySpace veterans, as will the section friends below:
