Rabat – French chef Cyril Lignac recently visited the Moroccan red city of Marrakech and made the best out of the city when he was able to enjoy Moroccan culinary traditions.

The chef, the owner of Gourmet restaurant Le Quinzième and Le Chardenoux, is divided The highlights of his visit in a series of photos and videos on Instagram with the caption: “One of my favorite kitchen”.

During his visit, Lignac tried several typical Moroccan dishes such as Tajine, Bestilld and the Moroccan coin with must-try.

The chef also shared a video in which he made the famous TAFARNOut bread, a kind of traditional bread that was made by the Amacigh communities in the Moroccos. In the video, the French chef will bake the bread in a clay oven known as a taarnout, hence the name.

Lignac also enjoyed the beauty of Marrakech. His contributions show that he discovers Jemaa el FNA, a place and a market place in the old medina of the city.

Lignac is also a well -known confectioner and television personality. He has several other restaurants, including La Patisserie Cyril Lignac, a high -end confectioner business, and Dragon, an Asian fusion restaurant.

He was famous for shows like Oui boss! And Le Meilleur Pastissier. Lignac has released several cookbooks.

Moroccan cuisine is a mixture of Arab, American, African and Mediterranean influences. It is known for its rich spices and slowly cooked dishes.
