Vivo Energy Maroc and Royal Air Maroc started the first flight with Morocco and Europe, neutral carbon and avithill in sustainable aviation fuels or SAF (sustainable aviation materials). This flight, which was operated by a Boeing 737 NG with 151 passengers on board, started at 4:20 p.m. by Marrakech -Menara.

This initiative underlines the commitment of the two companies in favor of a more sustainable aviation in Morocco and contributes to more responsible tourism, while the kingdom has become the most popular tourist destination in Africa. This most important progress results from a strategic partnership between Vivo Energy Maroc and Royal Air Maroc, whereby the common desire to accelerate the energy transfer of air traffic. The flight AT740 connects Marrakech with Parisorly to the positioning Morocco as a pioneer when using sustainable fuels in Africa. A more proactive approach that European regulations need at least 2% of SAF for the deliveries produced in Europe since 2025.
