The authorities arrested a Pakistani couple in a suspected connection to the death of a 13-year-old girl who worked as a maid. Per BBCThe victim, reportedly identified as IQRA, allegedly took chocolates from Rashid Shafiq and his wife Sana before suffering fatal injuries. People revealed that the Koran teacher IQRA took to the hospital, but after wrongly claimed that she had no parents. It remains unclear whether the teacher thought this information was true. However, IQRA died of her injuries later on February 12th.
A police investigation showed references to repeated torture and abuse. The first results showed that IQRA had suffered frequent abuse. Photos and videos that were checked by the BBC showed several fractures in legs and arms as well as a serious head injury. He said the police called to tell him that she was taken to the hospital. He also informed when he arrived in the hospital, he found IQRA unconscious on a bed and she died shortly afterwards.
