Liverpool wasted the chance to extend their leadership at the head of the Premier League to 10 points, as they had to avoid from behind on Wednesday evening to avoid defeat against Aston Villa.
In a dazzling encounter in Villa Park, Mohamed Salah gave the league leaders an early lead before the gates of Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins turned the draw up on the head before the break.
Trent Alexander-Arnold satisfied things with the Arne Slot team shortly after the hour.
The result leaves the red eight points in front of the second -placed arsenal, while the men of Unai Emery, who have not lost at home in the Premier League since August, remain in ninth place.

How the action develops
For the first time, a new Nike ball was used with a retro ball, but it was a familiar story in the early phases when the league leaders started strongly.
Virgil van Dijk blew up from a narrow angle after a decent offset moved for three minutes, while Diogo Jota stood away from A Andy Robertson’s cut.
Moments later, Jota went far when the Portuguese international might have had much better.
But at 18 minutes the villa had the ball on the net. A decent one-two between Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio-Beide celebrated their full debut summit in a driven cross, which was submitted by Ollie Watkins, but the offside flag was quickly raised.
On the half-hour brand, Andres Garcia Liverpool gave a chance when the villa man played in Jones while he was under pressure from Curtis Jones. Jota selflessly sat down at Salah, who shot into the roof of the network.
However, the villa was just ten minutes later. Rashford again turned out to be influential when his ball finally fell in Tielemans and the Belgian sent his shot beyond Alisson.
The host’s cocks were open and ended the comeback in the first half of a cheering crowd in Villa Park. The ball was worked out far by Lucas Digne, who whipped from left into a teasing cross so that Watkins went home.

The Liverpool players were sent out early before the restart, whereby the Slot side wanted to turn the tie back in their favor.
And shortly after the hour they were Level-Wenn with a piece of luck when Alexander-Arnold’s shot Emi Martinez false through a distraction in front of Tyrone Mings’ leg.
It became a Premier League classic. The Reds should have taken the lead when Darwin Nunez was delivered with the goal: a chance that left the slot with his head in his hands.

Minutes later, Donyell could have painted, also as a replacement for villa, that visitors could bring in, but Alisson was the same.
Emery’s team then had a second goal after Jacob Ramsey found the net, but again the flag was increased quickly.
Malen had another chance in death, but in the end the points remained shared.
