Rabat – Hungary offers 165 students from the Moroccan University every year, according to the Hungarian ambassador in Morocco, Tromler Miklos. In a contribution on the social media platform XX, Miklos said that “Moroccan-Hungarian scientific cooperation is better than ever”.
The ambassador unveiled That more than 5,500 Moroccan students applied for for the academic year 2025/2026 scholarships in Hungary. This increase reflects a growing interest in Moroccan students when studying in Hungary.
The scholarships are provided by the Hungarian Program that is financed by the Hungarian government. The program, founded in 2013, is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trades and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation.
The program offers almost 800 programs in various areas in different study levels. The programs are available in English, French and other languages at 36 Hungarian universities and universities.
The scholarship covers all tuition fees and offers support for accommodation costs.
In recent years, more and more Moroccan students have decided to study abroad in countries such as Hungary, Ukraine, Russia and neighbors.
These countries attract students due to their affordable tuition fees, the quality of education and a wide range of academic programs. Many Moroccan students pursue fields such as medicine, engineering and business.
In November, IBN ZOHR University in Agadir and the Karoli Gaspar University of Hungary signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to improve academic cooperation.
The agreement was initiated during a visit to a Hungarian delegation, which included the President of Karoli Gaspar University, Laszlo Trocsanyi, and the Hungarian ambassadors in Morocco. The Mou outlines the exchange of students, the cooperation between professors and researchers and joint research projects in various areas.
