The Interbank Monetic Center (CMI), Head of Online Payment Services in Morocco, has launched a new multidvision service service in collaboration with Global Blue Blue, Tourist Details.
This service includes the dynamic conversion of currencies (DCC) to Moroccan e-commerce websites, so that international customers can pay their purchases in their own currency and the best exchange rate.
The aim of this feature is to enrich the shopping experience and strengthen the competitiveness of Moroccan e-merchants, since around 76 % of consumers prefer to pay their currency. The E-DCC service is already available for CMI payment connections and enables you to pay several currencies such as the euro, the US dollar and the Sterling book.
In addition, this initiative could increase the sales of e-merchants by up to 20 % and improve the conversion rate. Note that foreign credit cards generated more than 26 billion DH transactions for the CMI in 2024, which reflects considerable growth.
