The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, announced the introduction of Mohammed VI International Prize for Road Safety in Marrakech, which aims to reward innovative initiatives in this area.
For its first edition, this price of $ 500,000 was awarded to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations’ road safety funds, each with $ 250,000 for their efforts for road prevention.
This price is awarded every four years at the World Ministerial Road Safety Conference. In addition, the ceremony was also the introduction of a commemorative stamp and a coin for the 2025 edition, which emphasizes the commitment of Morocco in favor of safer mobility.
Note that the event, which is housed under the high patronage of its Majestätkönig Mohammed VI, unites more than 100 ministers on the topic of “Engaging for Life”.
